Scotty Murphy

Originally hailing from the elusive and mysterious Northwestern Hills of Connecticut, Scotty Murphy is now a New York City based Audio and Sound Engineer as well as being an expert in advanced A/V and AVoIP technologies. He got his start in audio technologies working with a multitude of bands and musical acts early on, both in the studio and on the road as a touring sound engineer. He’s been featured for his work in music in publications such as Revolver Magazine, HeavyMusicHQ, and others, and the years spent in various scales of production environments (both live and studio based) have given Scotty a unique perspective into event planning across the board. He loves to stress that “New technologies create new opportunities, if you know how to apply them.”. At this point in his career, Scotty has contracted as an event and support specialist for major national brands such as Nike, T-Mobile, and AIG, among others, as well as instructing A/V and sound techs at George Washington University in 2022 through a partnership with OfficePro INC. More recently, in September of 2022, Scotty took a 6 month position as Head of Audio (A1) for a national broadway tour in partnership with Disney Theatrical Productions, during which the idea for SSE Media Group was born. He’s now focused on growing SSE Media Group with his long time friend and co-founder Jesse Hunter, and is considering astro-photography as a new hobby.
